It is very simple to perform an unlock on your 7100 and you can do it from your own home. First, you should check if your BlackBerry 7100 is already unlocked. As you continue to read, you’ll learn how to see if your BB is already unlocked and you will also learn how to unlock it if it is still locked to its original network carrier.

Unlocking the BlackBerry 7100 is not free in 99% of the cases. Typically, you need an unlock code to unlock your phone and we should check to see if our BlackBerry is unlocked first. You can do this in a few simple steps. The first step would be to go to options – advanced options – sim card on your 7100 smart phone. From here you’re going to have to type in the letters M (Mary) E (Edward) P (Pasta) D (Dog). You’ll get some new menus that come up like Network, Network Subset, Service Provider and Corporate. If this didn’t work for you, try typing MEPD with capital letters. You’ll notice that everything is disabled except possibly the Network. If the network is active, then it means that your phone is locked. You’re going to need to unlock it and we’ll show you that in the next couple of steps.
