How to unlock your Blackberry 5 series phone with an unlock code from Mobile Phone Unlockers. All you need is your Blackberry and an unlock code provided by Mobile Phone Unlockers.
Note: After Blackberry 5xxx is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Blackberry 5xxx MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.
1) Power on
2) Go to Options.
3) Scroll to SIM CARD then press jog dial in once to select it
4) HOLD ALT (Half moon key on the lower left side) and press: mepe (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)

- Go to Options.

You must have a SIM card in your phone to complete these steps ( Can be active or inactive )
- Go to settings menu => and then Options
- Select Advanced options => and then Sim card
- Type MEPD using your Blackberry keyboard (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing MEPD)
- Hold the ALT Key while typing in MEPE on your Blackberry keyboard (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing MEPD)
- You should be presented with a prompt “Enter Network MEP Code”. Type in the 16 digit unlock code received from UnlockBase.com and press in the track wheel / jog dial to confirm
- Your phone is now unlocked
